Patagonia Chile fly-fishing Travel Itinerary

The Dragonfly Lodge guide service consists of seasoned and professional guides that provide fly-fishing adventures in Patagonia, Chile and North America. They are very proud to share this virgin fishery with you!

Matt Eugene is a genuine technician in his field! We were honoured and proud to have him as part of the team at The Dragonfly Lodge 2005. Matt worked the prior season of 2004 at the famous El Saltamontes Lodge, Patagonia, Chile. Matt knows more than a few tricks and is tireless at both pursuing fish and perfecting the mechanics of casting. A good instructor, guide, and excellent boat driver, Matt will be hunting fish with us again in 2006!

Matt has guided for seven years in British Columbia Canada. Currently he works for Babine Steelhead lodge, September through October. For more information regarding steelhead fishing with Matt, go to www.fishbabine.com.

Adam Henderson was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. Fly-fishing was introduced to Adam at a very young age. As a young child, Adam created his first fly tying company at age ten, and distributed flies throughout the Okanagan and Kamloops area of British Columbia. He started rafting rivers and learning the tricks of the trade for The Blackwater Company when he was fifteen years old. He has always considered fly fishing a worthy excuse to explore the wilderness.

Adam has worked many places in British Columbia. Currently he is head guide for The Elk River Angler in the East Kootenays of B.C. The Elk River Angler is the areas oldest outfitter and services all South Eastern British Columbia and South Western Alberta. Dozens of rivers are covered in The Elk River Anglers fishing program. The Elk, Wigwam, and The Bow are a few of the rivers they service. Check out the web site at www.elkangler.com .

Adam has coordinated pack horse trips and riding adventures in the Chilcotin region of British Columbia. He has also worked as a professional musician amongst many other activities.

Adam has worked six South American summers in Patagonia, Chile. Three of those summers he worked as head guide for El Saltamontes Lodge. He created and executes the fly-fishing program at The Dragonfly Lodge. The boats used to access The Dragonfly Lodge have been designed by Adam.

Trevor Ford is our newest guide. He has pursued a wide range of species across Canada, but has been raised fishing salmon, steelhead and trout on the fly in British Columbia. Past guiding experience has included time on the Dean River in British Columbia, Russia, and the Yukon Territory. Personal trips have brought him to Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Montana, and Mexico. These days, when he’s not fishing the myriad of productive rivers and lakes around his home of Kamloops, BC, he’s working on a degree in physical geography, with a focus on hydrology and fluvial geomorphology. He has a history of commercial fly tying and has a few deadly pieces of artillery in his fly box. A good caster and innovative fisherman, Trevor is a great addition to our team this year.

Adam, Matt, and Trevor constitute the guide team at The Dragonfly Lodge. We look forward to sharing the fishery with you!
