| The
construction of The Dragonfly Lodge fly fishing adventure and
guide service in Patagonia Chile was an amazing task. Every
last bit of building supplies was floated 35kms down river to
the lodge site! This included several tonnes of cement, four
hundred square feet of glass for the roof, Italian leather sofas,
cook stoves and etc. The lumber for constructing the lodge was
hewn on site with chain saws. The lodge emanates a certain "rustic
elegance" as the creature comforts and conveniences of
a modern lodge and the spectacular vistas are contrasted and
framed within a magnificent post and beam structure. Enjoy these
photos of The Dragonfly Lodge's creation. |
